I have been working at Midwest Manufacturing

Pros

steady work
work experience dealing with all aspects of the plant for office workers and MTs

Cons

vacation policy is terrible. You might not be able to take a vacation during a certain "black out period" even if family member passes away. Compensation is TERRIBLE compared to similar jobs at other companies. Health benefits are extremely costly with poor actual benefits. Does not value education. Management will often question your motives if you seek higher education. Work/Life balance is horrid, which is ironic considering it is in their Mission and Values "9-block."
DO NOT WORK HERE.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better benefits. Put a little more into the work/life aspect of your employees. Update the pay scale to modern times. Value higher education more.

    I worked at Midwest Manufacturing

    Pros

Great oppurtunity to develop skills in a manufacturing / warehousing environment.
Profit sharing pays off if you stay there long enough

    Cons

It can get old after a while if you do not like working in a warehouse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to reduce turnover and create a more interactive team work place. The break rooms could be imporved with more room, and maybe a cafiteria as well.

I worked at Midwest Manufacturing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay when you add bonuses is really good, whiling to work with people who have minimal experience. Will train you and most likely promote you with better pay. Work stays at work! paid hourly!

    Cons

Rough hours. Do what your told mentality. You will be watched 24/7 through cameras that see everything by people who do not understand you can't be everywhere at once.
