Back to Millennium Pharmaceuticals Reviews
Millennium Pharmaceuticals – “I would advise you to look elsewhere.”
Pros
Location is good, you join into a large network of people when you are laid off because of Millennium's large turnover rate. There are some good scientists, but the baffling decisions made by upper management and the constant course changes and reorganizations makes Millennium a frustrating place to get your work done. They have never developed their own drugs, the only reason they make money is because they bought Velcade from a smaller company. Recently they were purchased by a Japanese company and stopped giving out stock incentives, so don't expect anything beyond salary at Millennium.
Cons
Management is terrible - the worst I've seen in industry.
Advice to Senior Management
Do your jobs - think about the people working hard for you.

My experience has been excellent- great place to work, compensation is excellent (base salary, bonus, options- btw- options have been replaced by cash incentives during the transition), the culture is fantastic (my impression is that post-layoffs management focused more on improving the environment for retaining/attracting talent. I've been at a few pharma/biotechs and I can say that they treat employees very well here.
Regarding the pipeline, well, >12 oncology candidates are coming in-house from Takeda so, we'll see what happens...
