Pros

There are some cool people that work here. Cool brand with potential.

Cons

No HR and a management team team that doesn't understand boundaries or what is/is not appropriate in the workplace. The only thing that seems consistent from the top down is a desire to get drunk and party. More focus needs to be on growing a successful business. There is no respect for partners and internally, managers are not focused on ensuring people are set up for succes

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a HR manager and someone who can adequately create a vision and plan for the company.

    Pros

A lot of brilliant young minds at this company. Fantastic property with fun, witty characters that can easily cross platforms. Mind Candy empowers a lot of young, entrepreneurial talent to fill important roles and makes smart hiring decisions so this isn't a huge "risk."

    Cons

Unfortunately, Mind Candy can't think past it's UK roots. The company has huge potential to be a hit around the globe, but the management team is unable to commit to/agree upon a common goal and strategy for the company. This leads to unhappy employees and partners. If only the company could impart some sort of strategy, they have the potential to take over in a major way. Lack of direction and guidance is resulting in the team imploding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Decide upon a strategy and clear goal (along with a roadmap for getting there). Understand that different territories require different treatment and hire people you trust to lead you in the right direction within those territories. Set clear goals that are achievable. Additionally, understand what it takes to recruit top notch talent across the globe - beyond London. Shed the arrogance and listen to some outside advice on how to adapt and grow.

    Pros

An exciting environment to work in where you can be involved in a wide variety of different projects.
Theoretically lots of opportunities to get promoted or move into other areas.
Lots of really creative and friendly people to work with.
    Lots of new exciting projects.

    Cons

As a young and fast growing company, there's no clear paths to achieve promotion.
Teams have relatively little autonomy - management will sometimes micromanage.
A general feeling of uncertainty about how the company will replicate its current success going forward.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it clearer what it takes to succeed at a role. Consider more carefully who should be involved in each decision.
