I worked at Minnesota School of Business full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Coworkers were wonderful! Liked working with the students to make their educational dreams come true! Education benefit was excellent, free classes, just pay for books.

    Cons

Upper level management was horrible, they were a bunch of wolves caring only about themselves. The upper level managers that did care were run out or laid off/fired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work-life balance was ok for the most part. They did not have extra hours that were mandatory to work.

Company values were a sketchy, it is a family owned/run company, and you can really tell by who is in the upper positions. It was a real compliment if you got hired and didn't know or were related to anyone in the company.

    Pros

Loyal employees that really care about the students.

    Cons

Grew too fast - employees have no connection to corporate office and do not feel valued.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have to take things away from employees try giving something...anything back so they feel somewhat recognized and appreciated. Get out to your campuses and meet the people that are fulfilling the dreams of these students.
