I have been working at Minnesota Teen Challenge part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Helping others, going on activities and outings, flexible, Christian activities, learning opportunities, management works with you

    Cons

clients can treat you poorly and be verbally abusive, high expectations, low pay for industry standard, emotionally demanding, stressful, many other employees are past clients- this can create division and these employees do not have good work/personal life boundaries- the organization is their life

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase the pay to industry standard or decrease job expectations to meet salary, recovery coaches do the same thing as "chemical dependency techs" at other facilities, but get paid about $3 to $6 less
