Very large bank that does not change quickly and is more reactive than proactive.

Pros

Well known and active in most all banking segments globally. Good opportunity for staff to learn and be given exposure to all business activity. Must rely on local hires for expertise in business segments and ex-pat managers wisely defer to local staff business knowledge.

Cons

Generally slow to adjust to market changes and thus misses opportunities more often than not because of structure and bureaucracy.

Advice to Management

Become more dynamic! Reduce bureaucracy and meaningless paperwork and reporting. Streamline approval process and push "real" control further to local hires.

    Pros

Vacation time is great, you get 30 days vacation and what is not used in the year can be carried forward to a maximum of 60 days.

    Cons

Depends on the division, but in general work recognition is not based on knowledge or skill sets, rather on being a "yes man".

    Advice to Management

Change is the only constant in Life!
