Pros – To find only temporary work
Cons – The Agency is only looking out for their commission and their own interest. They will sell the potential applicant under the bus without a blink. They smile at you in your interview ,but only see you as a hopeful commission bonus. They are almost as worst as ambulance chasers. Using Monster as their tool .Only searching for key words to describe a candidate. They don't use the human element and they don't realize that their client's purposely ask for the world knowing that ,they themselves(the client), don't have those "star like " skills either and no one on the team has them. All contract (IT) agencies are panderers and cowards to their clients and don't mind being prostituted by them.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire people who have worked as an employees for the type of jobs your are trying to provide potential applicants. This agency hire recruiters who are clueless and don't understand the industry or the politics their clients will play when it comes to job description and low balling tactics on wages. Get some balls and realize that the applicant knows the industry more than you do and is very much aware that you are being taking for a ride by your client. Profit is important ,but being all client and showing disrespect to the potential applicant is counter -productive. Stand up and fight for them for a change.
