I have been working at Moen full-time (more than a year)

Pros

The people are wonderful to work with and there is little to no drama in the organization. Everyone really works together well.

Cons

It's a really big company so it's hard to know everyone and sometimes, better candidates get passed over because they aren't as well-known.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Help employees plan a little better with a career plan within the organization and give greater individual exposure.

I have been working at Moen

    Pros

Moen has really good benefits and decent insurance coverage. It is located in a nice area to work and live. We take pride in the quality of our product

    Cons

The day starts at 530am so it's along day. The work force does not have the same work ethic as it did when I started many years ago. Many of the hourly associates feel that the world owes them something. Many of the older salaried associates feel that their hard work and dedication is taken for granted. Overtime is expected and the worrk/life balance is mostly work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As the work load increases and remains high, extra head count should be added. With the growth this company has seen, there is no reason to constantly have 10 hour days for hourly associates and 12-14 hour days for salaried associates.Taking a vacation day is just an invitation to extra work and stress when you return. When career openings occur, there is no real interest in promoting those who already understand the business and how it works. 'New blood' is brought in that only increases the work load for those who are already contributing to the success of the business.

I worked at Moen as an intern

    Pros

Great company with a lot of room for growth. A great variety of career opportunities.

    Cons

It takes awhile to learn the ropes...More support from upper level management would be beneficial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide a bit more training for interns.
