Pros

They used to have some clout and big name clients, so looks good on your resume.

Cons

Where to begin. Layoffs abound, no focus on new business development, no identity, horrid upper management, promotion of people that politic instead of the deserving employees. This agency was once the best agency in St. Louis to work for and now they are a joke. It's unfortunate that so many talented people have bailed or been let go from this sinking ship, as Momentum - St. Louis had a good thing going at one time. Now, it is just sad.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house of all "management". Start anew.

    Pros

As part of Interpublic Group, Momentum provides decent benefits, including very generous time off, a Christmas/Holiday break, and a 401K match. The company culture is laid back and the atmosphere is very social.

If you're just out of school or coming in with only a couple of years of experience, it's a great place to learn and work on sexy high-profile projects to build your resume. You'll also have fun.

    Cons

There are few growth opportunities for mid-career employees. Pay is low and increases and promotions are rare. Bonuses are unheard of.

Senior management plays favorites and doesn't always know who actually does the work. So the best and the brightest don't stick around for long. There are way too many incompetent senior level employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk is cheap. Clean house at the senior level and figure out a way to reward employees who actually do the work. Good employees need regular financial incentives to stay. You can't rely on a fun company culture alone.
