Monitor Group – “Takes good and bad to the extremes”

Pros

The people are great and form a family - beneficial given time at work
Opportunity to travel - great flexibility and interesting international exposure (outside of NA)
Learning - exposure to wide array of industries and individuals (from managers to c-suite)

Cons

Compensation - couple of low bonus years, still feels uncompetitive relative to other competitors
Communication - very erratic, black box and closed doors on everything from strategy to performance evaluation
Work/life balance - generally disregarded

Advice to Senior Management

Improve communication to employees - increase transparency and honesty
Work on the brand - saying "we're known in the right circles" is a cop-out
