Monsanto Company IT Co-Op in Creve Coeur, MO:   (Past Employee - 2009)

Pros

Good atmosphere and the company's efforts toward diversity are best reasons to work for Monsanto. I was a co-op so maybe I had on rose-colored glasses. Seemed like a great place to work. Very diverse atmosphere. Most people were friendly and welcoming. Prospective co-ops should check out the opportunity. My co-op was fun. I met many people. At Monsanto, meetings are encouraged. I was even able to meet with the current lead of the US Commercial division. I engaged in several networking lunches, ice cream socials and lunch and learns all on company's time!!

Cons

DPRs for regular employees. The mandatory IT Co-op project for co-ops. All co-ops are assigned to one of the company's regular teams as a co-op. Aside from your team, you must join with other co-ops to complete an IT project. The project has many positive skill/character building benefits (i.e., presentation, leadership, project management); however, if you are not heavily involved in the project, you may find it to be a downside.

Advice to Senior Management

My manager was great!
