I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than a year

Pros

Amazing company. Management in the Tempe office makes the job very fun, and they support you 100%. Great potential to earn a lot of money, uncapped commission.

Cons

Holding quota on things that are out of your control (out of business, acquired companies, etc). Responsible for previous year sales plus growth.

Recommends
Positive Outlook
Approves of CEO

Good pay, incompetent senior management team and high risk of layoff

I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Monster has very good starting pay compared to other companies but hardly any incremental after that, even after getting highest performance rating many years in a row.

    Cons

    - incompetent senior management team
    - no direction and no planning
    - 5 lay offs so far in my 6+ years with the company
    - more political than actual work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop worrying about your own self and start worrying about the company. Stock value is down by 90% and the only solution the sr mgt team can find is another layoff. This 'solution' has already been used many times so far and yet has done nothing to save the stock from the deep dive it takes every quarter after earnings release.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
