Pros

There's an honest desire to improve the career and job landscape, and lots of smart, interesting people around the world working on that challenge. You also get to do things at large scale, which is fun, and there's a sense of accountability and no-nonsense "make it better" that is refreshing. In short, good team, good people.

Cons

Management seems entirely uninterested in the employees, and really just want to figure out how to cut costs and squeeze every ounce of profit out of the business WITHOUT investing in anything ambitious and being very risk averse. Management is very top down, the attitude is very command and control and internal politics, which the people are good, are overwhelming.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire yourselves, restructure significantly, focus on what you're actually doing to help solve problems of customers and users.

    Pros

In the entrepreneurial era, dynamic and innovative, quirky and inspiring, risk-taking and rewarding. Always a fluid environment with both successes and failures. Early on, failures were good sources for learning and subsequent success.

    Cons

As the firm became more corporate, risk-averse management took over and virtually every new initiative failed due to inadequate resources, lack of vision and fragmented strategy and goals.
