    Pros

Friendly people, decent compensation, excellent facilities. MOOG used to be a good company to work for. I miss the employees (most) and my outside customers; NOT the managers.

    Cons

I don't know where to begin : Lip service to MOOG :"culture" , NO accountability; none. The more connected one is, the less he / she is accountable, too much finger pointing and blame, lack of CLEARLY defined job descriptions, NO career paths, mangers intimidate employees who have constructive criticisms, dissention is NOT tolerated, back-stabbing is rampant, good employees are continually undermined by incompetent mangers / peers to look good to upper management, poor resource allocation, no proactive planning, all people want to do is put out fires to look like mini-Gods- all of these firs are preventable, but, encouraged so all can be heros- this wastes a TON of $ and time...I could go on. You get the picture- many people (talented) in AG flee, move to other divisions, quit, retire early as depression sets in. This chaotic working environment reeks havoc on one's mental health. It was never this way, MOOG CEO, please clean house in AG ! There is NO other way; you folks make superior products. You have lost your way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

PLEASE take classes / see a shrink on how to shed the arrogance and elitism, MIX witht he masses. In all the years I worked there ( ACG) I never saw a senior manager step inside A&T, sit and talk with anyone who was not an E1 or E2. There is NO accountability for anyone in a managerial position; political and personal grandstanding / good ole boy network take front seat to competence. The higher one is on the ladder, the more accountability drops to zero. Senior managers finger point, blame, back-stab,; no one takes responsibility for the actions of their "underlings" The CEO needs to clean house (lay off 60 to 70% of senior management in AG) ASAP. No other solution; the ingrained, in-bred arrogance rots the culture to its core. LEAVE your offices and mix / LISTEN TO the masses!

    Pros

    Paid on time
    Good Benefits
Nice Remodeled building in Salt Lake City

    Cons

The cons of this company are numerous but I will try to highlight some the worst things.

Employee abuse by upper management (The VP has been witnessed cussing at people in the halls and on his phone.)
Poor morale (HR still refuses to acknowledge this is an issue.)
    Atrocious leadership
Horrible Pay / pay raises (The last pay raise was an average of 2%)
Unable to purchase up to date equipment for the lab. (My manager at the time would not sign a requisition for a $600 current probe.)
Multiple layoffs within a 1 year period
Refusal of upper management to listen to the advice of those working under them
Little to no chance of promotion

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have a steady stream of people quitting it might be wise to look at the reasons and acknowledge your short comings.
