I have been working at Morgan Stanley full-time

    Pros

"Big company", everything is done through process. If you've previously worked in a small company you probably experienced chaos, half-done specifications or lack of knowledge about processes. Here everything works like a machine. Definitely a good place to learn how to do processes correctly.

Not very innovative technology wise, but still enough to keep you entertained from time to time. If you consider yourself a "good" programmer and can (for example) write a client-server chat application in assembly, then for you this will be a place to relax and collect money.

Many training programs and employees are encouraged to learn the business side of the project they're working on.

    Good salary.

    Cons

Very restricted environment, no access to Facebook, GMail, or even Google Translate! Also some tech forums are blocked, and most likely your mother/wife can't send you an email cause her email will get filtered.

Almost every technology or framework is developed in-house. If one day you quit the company, some of your experience won't be of any use to you anymore.

Some people are just a**holes and there's nothing you can do about that since they're on the other side of the world. This becomes a problem if you have to work with them every day.
    Most people are nice, thought.
