I have been working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I honestly can't think of one positive about my experience.

    Cons

Culture is one of intimidation and extreme pressure to sell despite management constantly creating issues with product offerings, which basically cut the sales efforts off at the knees. Management threatens employees' pay if they don't do exactly what mgmt wants, even if it is counter-intuitive to the published incentive plan. Local management also threatens employees' jobs if goals aren't met (again, because sr. management has made decisions which have negatively impacted the product offering). Bait and switch on salary plan. No career path....management consistently promotes existing managers to different and expanded roles, while eliminating the positions that they vacated. Customers are insignificant.
