Morningstar – “Easy-going and friendly people”
1 of 1 people found this helpfulPros
Morningstar has a laid-back culture. The benefits are amazing. They match you 7% for your 401k plan, and pay for a lot of high-education costs if you want to pursue further. There's no dress code and no official amount of paid time off but they "recommend you take at least 3 weeks off." And every 4 years, you get a 6-week paid sabbatical. If you are interested in investing, you'll learn a lot about it here. There are opportunities to work abroad too. And let's not forget free bagels on Wednesday. Oh and there are a LOT of Asians working here, just throwing that out there.
Cons
I ended up in an team without many young people, but there are a lot in other areas of the company. The quality of the software could be better. Apparently we don't get paid a lot, but I think that the benefits compensate for that and more.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the quality of the software, the features are fine.
