Pros

The people and the environment. Fun casual atmosphere in the financial industry which is rare. Morningstar believes you should treat employees like adults not like factory workers. They can be flexible with working hours and holiday as long as you get your job done. This empowers employees and results in more productivity.

Cons

Benefits. I hear the benefits in Chicago are outstanding but in London they are sub-par. Poor pension match, maternity benefits are bare minimum and in America they get a sabatical which is denied in UK. Morningstar does not give annual salary reviews. I have worked here many years and never gotten an increase for inflation.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management is very approachable. I think the company is penny wise pound foolish. We struggle to hire desperately needed staff but they spend millions on new furniture.
