Pros

Good benefits package. Flexible work arrangements available.

Cons

The management group viewed the administrative team at the same level as staff right out of college. Discouraging for some as they have many years of experience and a college education.

Management not completely honest therefore difficult to trust.

They do not demonstrate a committment to helping individuals grow professionally. Lacking career paths, feedback and real mentors for administrative individuals.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest. Treat "all" your employees well.

    Pros

In the markets where Moss Adams dominates (Seattle, Portland, Albequerque), Moss Adams is almost like a big 4 employer. Everyone knows them, they are respected, and there are a lot of opportunities for growth. In the other large markets where they aren't as dominant (San Francisco, L.A., Phoenix), they are more like a mid-tier firm. And, of course, they still have offices in smaller towns (Medford, Eugene, Yakima, etc) that are a great option if you want a small-town career.

The consulting practices have a lot of hustle, and there is room for them to grow. It is tough work, but smart and motivated people can do very well.

    Cons

Like any professional services firm, you need to have a thick skin sometimes to deal with the pressure and the focused feedback on performance. And you need to be willing and able to work very, very hard, and have the ability to master technical knowledge quickly while focusing your energies on the "softer" side of the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue building a trusted brand, and expanding into western markets.

Your future and career will be dependent upon which group you work in and who the partner is.

    Pros

Fairly strong brand in the market place and some very talented and quality individuals. Nice offices. Some really good clients.

    Cons

Stingy with salary and bonus. Workload is way too high. Ownership takes way too much of the profits with is a profit margin of about 25%

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to get control of the partners. Some partners are purely greedy and unethical and will sell out both their employees and their clients.
