    Pros

    - Friendly staff
    - 20% Discount
    - Meeting customers - particularly expectant mothers who would often bring in new babies to visit!

    Cons

    - Lack of formal training
    - Company was struggling and so applied extensive pressure on staff, became very unpleasant to work.
    - If had to turn down work risked losing job.

I was offered this job last September. My first ever official job. At first I enjoyed and relished the experience but training offered was minimal and poor - and you need proper training when advising parents of Car Seats/Pushchairs/Sterilisers and bra fittings. At one point was actually in charge of bra fitting despite receiving no formal training (telling me a few tips seemed to suffice for them). This job did have its moments and I loved the majority of staff I worked with. Just needed those higher up to take control on induction procedures so staff didn't feel so overwhelmed and under pressure to provide information on products they had no official training on.

    Advice to Management

Official training programs need to be implemented. They seem to take place in larger stores (London etc) but little stores seem to be forgotten.
