I worked at Motorola Mobility full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Motorola Inc developed some of the marque mobile phones that lead the cellular phone industry in the early years with the Startac and Razor.
Additionally, large corporations such as Motorola do a pretty good job at retaining employees with very good benefits.

    Cons

Poor foresight in the future of smartphones lead to the down fall of this once dominate company in the mobile handset business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Motorola Mobility after being spun off from Motorola Inc was purchased by Google in 2012. I expect the new management under the direction of Google will focus on improving the smartphone experience and the very successful Droid OS. I expect some innovative and new products to be coming soon from Googlerola experiment.
