    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Motorola Mobility full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice intelligent people. Interesting industry. Fast moving so that there can be opportunities to get involved in multiple things. Pay and benefits were good.

    Cons

Always waiting for the next restructuring. Mobility employees became second class citizens within the Google family after the acquisition. Not that Google did much better with the company, and now they sold it to Lenovo.

    Advice to Management

Well...it has just been sold to Lenovo, but my advice would be to leverage Lenovo's scale to make Mobility a industry player again, instead of a has been.

I worked at Motorola Mobility (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Intelligent employees with deep knowledge and experience; great marketing and desire for innovation; decent facility with good pay, benefits and work-life balance

    Cons

Multiple re-organizations (3 CEOs in 5 years) with quarterly layoffs had a detrimental effect on employee morale. Leadership vision and direction was in flux making it difficult for employees to fully engage and commit; disconnect between employees and Sr Management. Consistency and frequency of communications improved, though many great employees left or were laid off

    Advice to Management

Continue communicating vision, mission, values and walk the talk. Engage with employees at every level
