Pros

Pay, knowledgeable staff, reasonable management

Cons

Slow, too many meetings, typical 9-5 (actually 8:30)

Plan more events for the interns. Create a more active experience for the internship.

    I have been working at Motorola Solutions full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Good people to work with
    - Strong senior management and sales staff
    - Market leader in Public Safety
    - Strong portfolio offering

    Cons

    - Aging staff
    - Benefits not as good as they used to be
    - Constant reorgs
    - Raises and bonuses – two thumbs down
    - Work/life balance
    - Advancement opportunities are difficult with constant reorgs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    My advice would be that, while I understand it’s important to keep the share holders happy we also need to keep the employees happy too. Talent retention should be right up there with talent acquisition and feel that’s not a priority. I do like the CEO however I feel like a stronger vision for the company is needed.
