I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York) as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

This was a pretty good first just, but not much opportunity for growth. I though the position would be more stimulating, but at the very minimum it sparked my interested in healthcare and opened doors for my new job.

    Cons

The position was newly created for me so there was very little structure. Some days I had a lot to do and other I just sat there all day doing nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Someone from upper management should have been regulating the position more.

I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York)

    Pros

Knowledgeable lab partners, okay lab, good equipment, friendly people.

    Cons

unrecognized for good results, no attribution of ones' contribution on the final research paper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make sure all labs treat their lab research assistants with the intention of at least getting their names on a published paper, because after all why else would they be there?

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
