    I worked at Moxie Software

    Pros

Encouraged to come up with creative ways to present products and services to potential customers unconstrained by product realities; Standards set by the CEO were a refreshing reprieve from traditional metrics and principles; Payroll never missed despite ongoing financial challenges; Five star hotels on business trips

    Cons

Competing political agendas between managers were at time difficult to navigate; Enthusiastic usage of flex-hours policies made meeting scheduling at times difficult; VOIP systems were unreliable (often, oddly, with the sounds of dogs barking? seriously.); Poor incentive management, bonuses were seldom discussed and never awarded

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The widespread impression was that the executive team were working predominantly to boost the company's valuation to recoup VC dollars that had been sub-optimally allocated by previous interim-executives. In practice, the software product falls slightly short of corporate communications, and feedback was neither encouraged nor incorporated into subsequent versions. The prevailing executive belief seemed to be that the market "did not understand" the software product, but market feedback seems to indiciate that it does.

I have been working at Moxie Software full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work-life balance. Technology that can be used for completing tasks is not limited. Great working environment with friendly co-workers who always willing to point you to the right direction if you are lost. Lead and manager are very understanding regards work-life balance and most of the time won't force team to work weekends unless it is really necessary.

    Cons

Moxie is a good company to pick up professional experience but not a good company for long term career path. No annual raises nor bonuses. Manager and lead are great at keeping team happy; however, the people upstairs seems to only care about revenue instead of improving employee's loyalty. Below average benefits except for vacation time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improving employee's loyalty for better product.
