I have been working at Mullen full-time

    Pros

The office space is in a great location.
Nice clean facility with plenty of space.
    Discounted catered lunches daily.
Some really smart people who are great to work with.
There is no shortage of work for you to do.
You will have the opportunity to work across many disciplines if you wish.

    Cons

    No leadership.
    No company goals.
Work/life balance is non-existent and beyond what you expect from an agency.
Very little room for career advancement.
Basic needs to achieve your daily job is always a chore.
Accounts are conditioned to work for the client NOT the agency.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management is completely out of touch with the talent they have in house and worse how to inspire them to do great things. Overall the company has no stance on anything. There are lot's of closed door meetings but tangible information is never shared with the company just lame announcements. It's the first place i've worked at in my nineteen years that didn't have yearly company wide goals and how each department was working together to achieve them. I've seen the company bleed money giving away pure justified billable hours from missmanagement of accounts resulting in lost accounts and the most unfortunate, layoffs of some great talent. If Mullen is an agency of transformation please explain what that means and what your transforming?

I have been working at Mullen full-time

    Pros

    Free food occasionally
    Nice people
    Decent cost of living

    Cons

Long hours, including weekends and holidays
    Clueless management
    The accounts are nothing special
No definition of what this office stands for
Old people who are out of touch are leading this office
There are no other decent sizes agencies here so once you move you're stuck. If you get laid off, hope you don't own property or you're really stuck

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to think outside the box in terms of organization, new biz pitches and how you staff. You went crazy with staffing after winning one account assumed that another win would happen to cover all the extra costs. This is why we lost several good people, some saw this place was spiraling to it's death, others you laid off. Real leaders would have made sacrifices so this wouldn't have happened.
