    Pros

    Pays more than most available (no degree required) jobs right now. Company sincerely cares about customers (compared to most companies today).

    Cons

    New rules and policies every time you come into work. Drive offs are put on you but you can't call the police to stop the ones that do it over and over or you'll be fired. Managers put everything on everyone so they can sit on their butt and then brag when they change the trash or stock the coolers. Constant promises of promotions that never come. Senior management tries to micromanage and get burnt out to the point that you are terrified to see them because of what may come. You will be told over and over where to go if you have a problem but nobody cares when you come to them. Serious problems are ignored and very small problems will get you fired. Managers refuse to ride surveys, get the major things you are out of or cover when someone calls off. If you are a good employee, you won't ever have a day off without being called in for something and you'll never receive praise. District managers like to pick at little things like making sure every pop in the coolers is facing forward (what a waste of time). OH! and the new pants rule. Nobody wants to be uncomfortable at work. Shirts are completely understandable, but everybody fits in pants differently and to tell employees they have to be uncomfortable or self conscious instead of letting them wear their own is ridiculous. Khakis are khakis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay attention to what is going on in your stores. If employees are unhappy, find out why. Praise them if they are doing well and make sure management is doing their jobs. Promote those that are doing well and demote those that are not. I know your job is to make sure things run smoothly, but you can't understand a lot of the little things unless you've worked as a cashier.
