pay is good, compared to most places. Start at rate above minimum wage, and get multiple raises

busy at night and only one person working to handle the crowd

    Pros

    Superiors willing to teach.
    Access to responsibility.
    Unparalleled opportunity for new graduates.

    Long hours were the only downside, though it wasn't too bad.

    Keep it small, keep it rolling. Don't let the supply process become bloated now that the company is public.

    I have been working at Murphy USA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    The customer is what keep me going and their needs come first. I enjoy meeting new people everyday and I love those who show love back. You can come across some customers who fill like you should tolerate any kind of treatment.

    Cons

    No breaks, too much for one person, and in most cases you are losing more than you are gaining. When you have a DM who decides to tell your boss to work you at more than one store without consulting the employee. This happens a lot and my boss will go alone with it and that very inconsiderate. My boss put a gap in the schedule and just decide to move the employee up two hours without talking to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Their is not enough training and higher management shouldn't hire a new employee just because they got a hand...Hire them because they have good potential. Higher management tends to hire most of those who come in and are not able to multitask. Multitasking is the number requirement while working at Murphy. Management need to be more explanatory in what the job requires.
