On the wrong track

Health Care Service Coordinator (Former Employee) Atlanta, GA

ProsThe families are wonderful and if management would just allow HCSCs to do what they need to do to serve the families, it would be an AWESOME position.

ConsSadly, MDA's attitude is no longer what can we do for our families, but what can our families do for MDA!

Advice to Senior ManagementValue the work of the HCSCs - they have a tremendous amount of responsibility, they can actually make a difference for families affected by neuromuscular disease and they are the face of MDA to the families you claim to serve! HCSCs should be paid more than an entry level salary.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Health Care Service Coordinator (Former Employee) Spokane, WA

I worked at Muscular Dystrophy Association full-time for more than a year

Pros: Working with the families and clinics is really rewarding. Cons: Low pay Long hours- including weekends Lots of travel Too many layers of management- nobody is accountable High turn-over… Advice to Senior Management: Bring in someone to restructure your regional and divisional offices. District offices receive little assistance- even when they ask for it. Have a guideline… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
