Focused on the long term. Expects commitment from all employees. Seems to be more open to change in technology than before. Good people who work hard.

I worked at Mutual of Omaha as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexibility, you are your own boss. Occassional recognition awards where pretty good.

    Cons

No benefits, subpar training, sink or swim, you get what you put into it. If you don't have a solid marketing plan and a good manager you will have a rough time. Chargebacks and low commissions on some products. Instability on Medsup premiums, you better warn seniors their medsup might go up or else you will get an earful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand on your training program. Explain the commission plan in more detail to new agents, this way they understand that they will make no money if they don't hit those targets. Also establish a base salary for promising recruits, a lot of them come in excited to learn the business but it takes time to learn the ropes.
