I worked at Mutual of Omaha full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Stable company that pays salaried professionals fairly, but not always so for hourly employees. Conservative and polite culture, but sometimes too polite to address issues directly.

    Cons

Can be paternalistic to employees, which is good and bad--good for being responsible for fairness and consistency, but bad for looking for independent thinkers. Hard to implement any change without politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to seek game changers to move the company forward.
