Current Employee – been working at NBBJ
Pros – It really is one of the best design firms in the world. The horizontal structure allows for inspired creation, and gives you the flexibility to show your abilities. You are given a platform in which to showcase your own talents. If you do not utilize this platform, it is no fault but your own. I've been impressed with what has surfaced as a result of this freedom. There are some truly talented and gifted people working in each studio of this firm. There are also excellent incentives to travel with offices in locations like Dubai, London, Moscow, Shanghai and more.
Cons – New employees need to be prepared to deal with a paradigm shift between old school and new school. You will find pushback from both sides, with the old school stuck in their ways and the new school challenging the norm.
Advice to Senior Management – Dare to be different. The firm is on the cutting edge of technology, but it's not leading the race. Dare to fail and you'll always excel.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
