I worked at NBCUniversal full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great atmosphere, fun job, nice people, cool perks, chic location, ok salary, yearly merit salary raises, potential to get a really awesome position, great experience, great entry level positions to get a career started.

Cons

Always laying off production staff, difficult to get promoted, management can sometimes be clueless is to what their suborindates do and can turn a blind eye to problems between employees.

Advice to Management

Promote more employees, keep hiring from within, stop restructuring all the freaking time, keep employees longer

    Pros

It was a great working environment at NBC Universal. I worked for a Owned and Operated station and was pushed to explore how to best use content online for our viewers. I got to work on exciting projects and the benefits were great.

    Cons

Some people at the station had been in the television industry for a long time and were slow to adopt new ways of distributing of content, or new ways to connect with viewers online.
