ProsExcellent benefits and co-workers.

Upward Mobility-If you will follow the spelled out requirements for promotions.
Learning multiple levels of banking....licensing they pay for once you pass exams.
Some wonderful members. Sometimes you can really improve a member's life with your services.
High expectations of employees, and high accountability. This is a good thing....you have clear, defined standards that won't change without notice.
Job security for those willing to work and be accountable.

ConsLarge variations in promotions depending on your supervisor.
Low starting pay, but in the right branch, for a motivated employee, that can be very short term situation.
A few challenging members.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of Lotus based applications, move them to the friendlier to use Platform. Don't limit raises to a specified range. There is a difference between someone fresh from college, and someone with a family and real world experience that benefits SECU with wisdom and depth of understanding. Especially when either one proves to be a high performer and quickly attains requirements for promotions. Our lending rates must compete more closely, especially mortgages on fixed rates and terms. It is the biggest investment a family will make, and we want the business.
