just an ok employer

Prossmart people work here, and they do cool things (when they can cut through the bureaucracy and drama of the rules and regulations of NCIRE, the VA, and sometimes UCSF).

Consno raises in two years for most staff, piddly raises otherwise. no active support for developing staff members (this is what's driving me to move afield). recent benefits changes were poorly implemented. NCIRE is a shell company which holds the research grants for primary investigators; they exist to ensure that research projects get funded and that NCIRE gets their cut of that. Bureaucracy gets in the way of everything. EVERYTHING.

Pros: You're interested in the research at hand. The defined contribution plan rocks (in a time where… Cons: Salaries are slightly less than market.
