NCR – “Nice place to work years ago, slowly but surely falls behind.”

Pros

My colleagues, flexibility in time, some work from home allowed.
I had great managers I worked for in the past, and great colleagues.

Cons

Recognition, management inertia, "don't make waves" attitude. Don't expect salary raise, or more than 1-2%/year at most (less than inflation rate anyhow).
Managers come and go, so I dealt with great managers but also had some very bad, and I never understood why would senior level management hire and then keep such people.
The late changes in performance assessment is based on "must rate 20% as bad or need improvement" which makes no sense and achieves a loss in the team spirit and people turning against eachother.

Advice to Senior Management

Don't get caught in politics, do what you know is better for the business, for the people.
