NCR – “BE AWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION WHO CANNOT MANAGE.”

Salary is not too bad to start but....after that raises are 1-2% per year, bonus rarely paid. Grunt workers are hard working and great to work with mostly. Management spend 99% covering their behinds and pointing fingers at other departments. BE AWARE AND STAY AWAY!!
Cons
As others have said, promotions are based on who you know and who is "in" at any given time.
Logistics systems are ancient and ineffective but then the PEOPLE are blamed for poor results, not the systems. All Logistics Managers are let go yearly as a new crop comes in, with their friends. The latest bunch (late 2008) have no background in Logistics! they figured that would work!! Has gotten progressively worse over the last years and bound to get even worse. And yes, Managers must rate 20% of their staff as "needs improvement" so beware, 20% are purposely set up to fail.
Advice to Senior Management
You know, maybe improvements could be made if Managers are hired due to their knowledge and competency rather than your buddies who get shuffled from department to department, protected by you.
