Pros

Great co-workers. Salary is satisfactory. Support from immediate management. Working to expand its market at all times, great PTO policies, that actual work I do... I like it

Cons

Bonus system based on opinions, 24/7/365 mentality- PTO is nice, but you're basically "owned" the rest of the days if they deem it "necessary". Benefits... not good. CEO more concerned with image than generating real growth for company (moved HQ after 125 yrs in Ohio because he is from NYC, and got a nice bonus in his pocket from GA)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop looking at ways to cut costs to provide shareholders the illusion we are getting better. Improve hiring practices at the top levels and stop over paying them, better sync the bonus structure to actually reflect the work done, people not associated in any way with another job are missing bonuses because of them. Get rid of a leased building for headquarters and additional costs for high end property in NYC. NCR used to own property... own its name. It barely does now... it is all about looking successful over being successful.

    Pros

Good people inherited from acquisitions. Good vacation policy, but never have time to take more than one day at a time. I can where jeans!

    Cons

Overworked, internal arguments and conflict, NCR (vs. their acquisitions) is the 800 lb gorilla. Everything is their way, even if it means 3x the work. Always expected to be on ... 24 x 7. Don't get paid for accrued/earned vacation if you leave the company. Exec team is condescending to employees ... SHAME.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people ... not only Wall Street. You're ranked number 8 as the worst employer for many reasons.

    Pros

You get a new van after the van has reached 100,000/or so miles. and it comes with a gas card.

    Cons

not enough space, here's a few: senior management does not care about employees, only financials, they run the same cycle of bull every single year, beginning of each quarter take care of your customers, end of quarter, no one gets service, no running service calls unless its the biggest customer they have. If you are a CE, you are number, and they have dumbed us down so much we cannot so much as sneeze with getting approval for it. Say they are a pay for performance company but do not, when you get a good performance appraisal, now you are to close to midpoint/maximum of your pay grade..sooo sucks to be you, no raise...yet they pay for performance?...Lies... they have regressed to a threat and intimadation style of management. Management sets unattainable goals to achieve and basically sets you up for failure. There are long tenured CE's that are leaving because they have reached maximum threshold of being treated like minions and tired of lying to customers. They have killed morale, and are micro managing people to the point of watching where your are, how long your vehicle is running, and as soon as people find jobs will and are leaving in droves. The feeling of the CE's is "we know your lying cause your lips are still moving!" There is no road or career path anymore for the CE. Just has become a lousy horrid company to work for. As soon as this employee can find a new job, he is outta here. And whats sad is that no matter what is told in the exit interview, no one will give a crap and nothing will be done to help correct it.

Isnt your shelf life up? Isnt the time to move on to search and destroy other companies at hand yet? Please stop talking out of both sides your mouth.
