    I have been working at NIH full-time

    Pros

    Can be more relaxed than academia, can be used for translational research. One can also work on projects that are riskier and longer.

    Cons

    Area is expensive, traffic is terrible. NIH should be in a nice place, further away from the metro area

    Pros

    Top-notch facilities, gives you the opportunity to work with the top scientists and researchers in basically any field of health science

    Cons

    Campus is really big, takes a while to get to places
    Food could use some improvement, but there is a decent variety
