I have been working at NIKE

Pros

Good place to work. Management was good to work with. Leads were treated as if they were managers. Good discount.

Cons

The promotion process. An associate should not have to interview if there is a position for promotion. If there managers feel as if they are qualified, they should receive.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

    Benefits
Amazing campus - gym with heated pool, etc
    Good for resume
Depending on manager, somehow flexible hours

    Cons

    Very political
Not so much performance based, but rather how well you network
Very narrow job - limited scope of responsibilities
Very hard to advance unless you have an inside sponsor that provides future opportunities
    Compensation below industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start seeing who the high performers are and stop the politics

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

Its a great place with great people, and lots of exciting things going on. And Nike always throws the best party.

    Cons

The compensation is heavily stilted towards "cache" and inviting people along to lavish events and parties. Pay raises, or administrative help would be much more valued, but less fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach: communicate. The "deck" for your internal marketing up the food chain is NOT the most important objective.
