I worked at NIKE full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Pride that comes with working for one of the most admirable brands on the planet.
Surrounded by talented, passionate people.
Cool travel that includes stays at top hotels in great cities....because you're expected to stay trend away and connected to your consumer.
Fun co-workers
Great product discounts and direct access to the employee store!

Cons

Too many people work there now, so many people that you can get lost in the matrix
Political, must be one of the cool kids to play the game
Working there can "dumb down" your skills because no one person ever makes a decision and thus who really is accountable?

    I worked at NIKE

    Pros

Dream job in corporate sales. Great benefits, bonuses, and discounts. Opened many doors, created long lasting friendships. Awesome having the name on your résumé.

    Cons

Total "Boys Club." No one will stand up for you when the going gets tough. Like previous Cons- it's about who you know or grew up with. Management in sales are robots, under qualified and have no style or sense of trends. Reps work 24-7 with little inspiration, motivation or reward. Hiring those with zero work history in position is preferred because it's easier to program than to re-program a robot...plus it's cheaper. Communication is terrible...work load is infinite...deadlines were yesterday.
