    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Great pay if you are not working a storm for free. Great benefits which they have recently started to take away from management. If you are in the union you can do anything you want and make as much money as you want.

    Cons

Lack of leadership. Everything I'd fly by the seat of your pants. During storms management works for free while the union gets rich.

    Advice to Management

Enforce the rules when it comes to the union. Management should be paid for their time worked. Don't lead through fear.

  2. Great for networking and meeting people in energy industry

    Doesn't Recommend
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

The atmosphere is quite friendly and there is an open floor plan. The culture supports colleague interaction. The cafeteria is good. It is close to the city of Boston.

    Cons

As a government utility, it is slow to change. There is no competition against other utilities so the changes a normal business makes to beat out its competitors are not made here. Changes are slow to be made and people can be lazy.

    Advice to Management

Motivation is key, but so is keeping your most talented employees. Run a stricter and more logical system that encourages competition and rewards for performance.
