Pros

Challenging and dynamic environment, lots of opportunities of growth, great pay, good benefits. Feels like a startup

Cons

The work/life balance is a bit lacking, as I said before it feels a bit like a startup in a lot of the way it works internally.

Former Employee - Engineer in Santa Clara, CA

I worked at NVIDIA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Decent compensation and good benefits
Good opportunities for early career growth

    Cons

    No work life balance
    Ineffective management at all levels
    Hostile work environment
Extremely chaotic, no planning or strategy
    CYA mentality, especially among managers
Horrible PTO policy - if you are busy, you never get time off, and no pay out when you leave
No reward for exceptional performance; no consequences for poor performance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the "Yes Men" in middle management, and hire managers with experience, who respect and follow good engineering practice. Be realistic about schedules, and stop trying to cut corners. Constantly setting unachievable goals, then blaming engineering for failures is driving away talent.
