Great technical talent to work with.

High intensity, good work and good standard benifits, tempered by mediocre quality of daily life.

I have been working at NVIDIA

    Pros

The work can be intense and interesting and it's rewarding that people love the products.

    Cons

The quality of life is only fair. Long hours, very male engineer dominated. Little to speak of in terms of on site amenities or social opportunities. Compensation is only average for the area and the hours. The stock has been flat for years, making the typical RSU stock rewards and employee stock purchase plans in lieu of raises a disappointing incentive, especially as the RSUs vest over four years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more ammenities - a gym, some outdoor space, more actual work space, better eating opportunities, better facilities, in general. This place is probably ok for nerdy engineers who like their cubicles and meat and potatoes or daily noodle stir fry, but it's incredibly dull compared to Facebook, Google, or other nearby companies that offer a much better work / life balance. Like the neighborhood where it's located, the environment is drab beige and doesn't reflect the huge changes or the impressive technologies happening in the business itself.

    Pros

Got pulled into work from day 1, they treat interns like regular employees.
    Extremely talented engineers, very helpful.
The approach is competitive and aggressive here.
Good pay, benifits. They pay for your transportation, relocation, flight, etc.

    Cons

    Micromanagement is a problem here
