I have been working at NWEA full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Unlimited projects and innovation to keep up with the trends of Education and Technology. A number of entry level positions available with supportive management. NWEA offers a number of opportunities for personal growth and development. Staff, both in office and remote, are very educated and motivated by our mission. But it is still about the bottom dollar as with any successful business.

Cons

There is simply not enough time for the high demand for change and flexibility. There has been some growth in opportunities but seems like jobs are not posted, more like the new groups are hand picked. I think current trends in technology and education are consistently one step ahead. We invest a lot of money and staff talent for short term solutions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The culture of management has changed to meet the demands of the progress being made. Those you hire from now on should also be progressive and forward thinkers.

I worked at NWEA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the staff is there is there for the right reasons: they want to do the right thing, improve education, and help kids.

    Cons

Leadership is out of touch with the rest of the staff and runs the business like it's their private platform to advance their political connections and careers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick to being a niche player where you have a quality service and loyal customers.
