I worked at NYU (New York University) full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Tuition remission, health care, 401B

Cons

Poor work/life balance, long hours, abusive management, no job security.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of paying a select few professors and upper-level management outrageous salaries, 0% loans, loan forgiveness, and other perks, spread the love. Give better compensation to adjunct instructors, student employees, and lower loan rates/scholarships to starving students. This is supposed to be a non-profit organization, not a predatory one.

I worked at NYU (New York University) full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent resources for employees and students. When one leverages the connections. They can I far if they are ok playing the political game

    Cons

It's extremely political, all about who you know and what clout your résumé has. Make no mistake NYU is a business first, and very much revenue driven.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay connected to those on the frontline interfacing with the students. It should always be about the students regardless out prestigious your faculty is. Without the students the faculty has noone I educate.
