    Pros

The hours are flexible, the colleagues are interesting and have some great ideas about new projects. We are always improving and changing components of the EG1003 course, so it is a very dynamic work environment.

    Cons

Teaching freshman students is a challenge. Sometimes they are very reluctant to learn, and others think that we don't have enough material to teach them. They don't appreciate the workload, and that can translate into their attitudes towards TAs.

    Advice to Management

The management structure of the General Program is very similar to that of a workplace outside of school. More programs should follow the industry model so that students are more prepared for life after graduation.
