I worked at NYU (New York University) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working at NYU as a GA/Instructor was the best time I've had at a workplace...ever. It far exceeded my expectations.

    Cons

The biggest CON I can think of is that Dojo closed. Loved eating there...good and inexpensive food. The business about John Sexton's votes of no confidence...I think a lot of muckrakers just want to be heard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I hope to get hired back here as faculty OR staff....I love it there!

Personal growth under the umbrella of ill-conceived liberal ideology.

I worked at NYU (New York University) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Stimulating environment located at the heart of New York City. Location provides easy access to everything the city has to offer. Networking opportunities abound if you are looking to use the University as a platform to further your personal life and career.

    Cons

Overbearing atmosphere of political correctness often permeates social interactions. Policy and key decision-making are often dictated by petty, arbitrary and narrow-minded views on the function and role of various social groups (incompetent marxist analysis and outmoded sixties hangovers).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Currently (as of 2013), they University is embarked on an ill-conceived, unnecessary series of expansions with the aim of becoming the first truly global University; approach larger projects with caution.
