I have been working at NYeC full-time for more than a year

Pros

The company has lofty goals, good intentions and talented staff. The company's clients are supportive and there is much room to grow in the Regional Health Information Exchange Markets.

Cons

Severely mis-managed, Executive management team is a circus of deception to keep state funding rolling in despite severe issues in product architecture, and technical direction. Systems are highly un-stable, support staff is working un-bearable hours while the development team is strapped with support escalations and unable to meet their deadlines. Viscous Cycle...

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire all of the Chiefs and VPs. Retain an HIT Consulting firm to re-establish direction and credibility. NOW.

    Pros

    Not much. More vacation days than other industry

    Cons

    No technical leadership. they know how to push, but they don't know how to lead by example.
    Too many program/project managers but actual people who get the job done.
    Too much legacy system that current employees do not have enough knowledge to maintain.
