I have been working at Nalco

Pros

Good compensation plan and benefits plan. Local management is very supportive in helping you to achieve your goals with the company.

Cons

Internal communication from the top to bottom needs a lot of improvement. Technology improvements seem to be slower than other companies.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate information in a timely manner. Even if it is something you expect that your employees will be dissatisfied with.

Used to be a good work environment, but Nalco as we know it is (will be) gone.

    Pros

Good people. Nice corporate suburban location.

    Cons

Now, post merger, the 2012 "synergies" will eliminate more positions. Anyone staying will be doing more work with no opportunities. Nalco is gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be open with remaining Naperville employees with the real reduction plans for 2012 and forward.

Pretty decent place. Pay is pretty low if you don't have a doctorate

I have been working at Nalco

    Pros

Good benefits, nice people, recognize for going above and beyond

    Cons

Not much room to move around, or advance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make people accountable. If they do a good job praise them, if not discipline them. Too many people don't pull their weight, or salary in my opinoin.
